17 day diet

Ok, so I am ashamed to say that our little trip to Minot/Bismarck wrecked us. We ate in decent proportion, but weren't good at all veggies and all meat.. I have decided to pick up with Day 9 tomorrow, and extend our 17 days a bit. With Micaela's bday party and all cake cookies etc... That just topped the whole weekend off for the worst.. lol

Day 9 of 17 day diet

Well it is Wednesday and day 9 of the the diet. While I am trying to look at it as more of a life style change, I cant get too used to it. The next 17 day cycle will be a whole new ball game.

The one thing I have really come to realize is that eating healthy is very very expensive. I don't care what people say.. I have spent a fortune buying vegetables, fruits, and chicken. The hawaaian meal alone was $17, and that didn't even include the cost of the pork. :(

Today is gym day. For now, I will be going Monday, Wed, Friday, Sat, and Sunday forsure. Tue and Thurs on the weeks I have the kids wont work for me. That is how I started out before, so we will see what happens. I about cried when I saw the number of inches that I have gained in the past year. All the more reason to work extra hard at the gym. :)

Breakfast- Guess I will go make myself some eggs.. Maybe scrambled today.. Will update and post the rest of today's food later.

Day 8 of 17 day diet

I forgot to mention yesterday that I joined the gym so did a full hr of exercise. It is going to take me a month or two to get me back to where I was this time a year ago as far as how long and how much I can work out, but I can say one thing forsure, my body achs, so it got a work out. :)

Breakfast: Rice crispies and milk- I am out of eggs.. Got it on the top of my grocery list. :) green tea pill, water pill.

Today was preschool, and one of the students brough pb and j sandwiches. They were bite sized and in the shape of little air planes. I was so hungry, I could hear the bread calling my name. I just popped one in my mouth, and chewed it up. Spit it right out. Just couldn't swallow it. That bread has so many carbs!!!

Lunch- Apple, yogart, turkey, fish oil pill, probiotics.

Snack after shcool I had celery and peanut butter. PB isn't allowed, but I did have a couple spoon fulls with my celery.

Supper- I took chicken breast, onion, celery and carrots in a pan and cooked them up a bit, threw in a chicken rice seasoning packet. "supposed to be made with rice and baked in the oven" Just omited the rice and added 1/2 bag of peas added a 1 cup of milk and baked in the oven. It would have been super awsome over rice, but it was very hearty and good all by it self. Both ralph and I had seconds. :)

Snack- I bought some frozen yogart at the store, so we each had a small bowl. Very good way to round off the night. :)

Day 7 of 17 day diet

Well we made it a week. I am at 199.5 that is down from 206.5 on Monday of last week. :) Ralph is down from 246 to 239

Success.. Now if we can just keep it up. :)

Breakfast- 3 eggs
green tea pill, water pill

Lunch- yogart, and probiotic pill

Snack- apple

Supper- I made a Hawiaan Merinated pork topped with pinnaple, yellow peppers, onions, brocholli, and cauliflour.

I have been trying to be creative in how I prepare all of these vegatables since I have never been a vegetable eater. I find that buying these prepared seasoning packets in the spice isle really help flavor the healthy stuff.

The merinade packet that I bought was called Luau. I just marinated the veggies in a bag in 1/2 the mixture, and the meat in the other half. Then simple fried the chops in olive oil, tossed in the veggies, and then transfered them in to the oven. Very very good. :)

Pork isn't on the list of prefered meats for the first cycle, but that is all I had in the freezer, so I guess we cheated a bit.. Pork, the other white meat! Right?? lol

Day 6 of 17 day diet

Happy Sunday.. Ya, I wish.. Lots of painting today!

Breakfast: 3 over easy eggs
Green tea pill, water pill

Water water

Lunch: Yogart, probiotic, and fish oil pill
water

Supper: Pan fried fish that was cooked in Olive Oil. I squeesed half of a lemon on it, and used some salt free seasoning I had in the cupboard. It turned out very yummy, and Ralph said I could make fish any time.:)

Along side the fish, I steamed some brocholli.. Now we have been eating a lot of brocholli lately so tonight, I melted 2 table spoons of cheese sauce for the top. It was just a drizzle and was good. :)\

Dessert we had a pudding cup.

It must be said that CARBS are forbidden, and the purpose of cutting them out and eating lots of protien is so that you can burn the stored fat that you have rather than the fresh curbs that you take in. Now I am sure my BFF Chalsey whom is studying to get her certification in Nutrition and exercise to clarify the presise termonology.. lol

I would honestly say that this past week, we ate extremely healthy. Even the little cheats of a banana here, and a pudding cup there were nothing like what we have been eating. The energy is amazing. :)

Day 5 17 day diet

Hurray the weekend is here. Ralph and I slept in late and each had 3 over easy eggs and a container of yogart for breaksfast. Green tea pill, water pill, and WATER WATER WATER....

I should also mention that we both take a multi vitamin as well.

Today was "DATE" day, so we were hesitant of how we were going to enjoy our dinner and a movie with all of the temptations out there.

2:00 movie-- Instead of each having a popcorn and a pop or sharing a large pop corn. We bought 1 small buttered popcorn and a medium diet pepsi.

It needs to be said, that I absolutely hate diet pop. I am a mountain due, pepsi coke girl, and I HATE diet. Truthfully I would rather drink water than diet pop. Giving up pop alone I think will drastically help me. I have done it before, and I can do it again. :)

So after the movie we went to the rice and spice "chinese buffet" We each had lots of chicken and vegatables. It was truthfully so satisfying. I really cant wait to go again. yum

Snack- we had a piece of pie. It is gone now so no temptations for Sunday. :)Not to forget out fish oil pill for the day!

I think God was watching out for me too, because I can't leave Williston without a frappachino drink. We hurried across town at 5:45 and needless to say they were already closed. Supposed to be open till 6:00. :)No drink for me.

I bought these turkey jerkey bites at walmart. They wern't bad. Maybe try them as a snack sometime.

We had a sugar free chocolate before bed, so no promise message. :)
